My Story

My career actually started in a very different place. I spent nearly 20 years in the security industry, eventually working my way up to management. It was an incredibly fast-paced and demanding environment, but I didn't fully realise the toll it was taking on me until mid-2018 when I hit a wall with emotional burnout.

That burnout forced me to rethink things. I started taking evening courses through Bridge of Hope, which really opened my eyes. Later that year, in November 2018, I went to a Louise Hay workshop weekend in Lusty Beg. That weekend completely shifted my perspective and made me realise I wanted to pursue a path focused on wellbeing and personal growth.

In early 2019, I was made redundant from my security job. I briefly went back to what I knew out of uncertainty, but I quickly realised I needed to move on. I took a new role supporting vulnerable adults with learning and behavioural challenges. It was deeply rewarding and really cemented my passion for helping people.

Around the same time, I started training in complementary therapies like reflexology, Swedish body massage and Hopi ear candling. For a while, I juggled working full-time in care with supporting Bridge of Hope. As my love for this work grew, I gradually cut down my full-time hours to focus more on my wellbeing practice.

My Mission

Today, I work as a relief support worker, and I am also self-employed with Bridge of Hope. My focus is on supporting people through therapeutic treatments, truly listening to them and creating a safe space. I definitely don't have all the answers, but I am a big believer in the power of connection and that a problem shared feels much lighter.

I strongly believe that self-care is a necessity, not a luxury. We simply cannot pour from an empty cup. The treatments and courses I offer aren't quick fixes. They are there to support you on an ongoing journey of self-awareness. I always encourage people to invest in themselves, whether that is through therapy, taking time to rest, or just finding a few quiet moments in a busy day.

I have navigated my own fair share of life's challenges, from anxiety and depression to difficult relationships and personal hardships. Because of that, I know firsthand how important inner work is for finding peace and resilience. Even in the darkest moments, I believe we all have a glimmer of light inside us. If we nurture it, we can keep growing and moving forward.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I hope it gives you a sense of who I am, my values and the journey that brought me here.
